Newton, MA - June 19, 2003 - Adaptive Networks, experts in communications over impaired-media, today announced the introduction and immediate availability of InSite™ Simulation Tools. InSite™ affords a quantum leap in providing confidence for developers contemplating communications over impaired-media, such as powerline and other media for any application environment.
Accessing installed (on-site) application environments for evaluation and in advance of design is not always feasible or practical. Furthermore, complex installations can often only be proven with real-world implementations. InSite™ Simulation Tools enable developers to see how a given communications technology will perform when installed, for example, on a power distribution grid, in a building or in a vehicle – before design or development begins. By modeling noise, channel, crosstalk, and other environmental parameters InSite™ make it possible to see how fast, how far and how reliable communications will be for a target environment.
“The decision to commit to evaluate, design, or use powerline or other communications on impaired-media is fraught with uncertainty,” said John Gitelman, Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Adaptive Networks. “Now developers of communications over impaired-media can save time, save money and build their solutions right the first time while substantially reducing the risks in designing, selling and deploying mission-critical communication systems. The decision to commit is now made significantly easier.”
InSite™ Simulation Tools are the culmination of many years of Adaptive Networks' experience developing and applying communications on challenging impaired edia such as the powerline. InSite™ is a breakthrough for users of impaired media communications enabling the verification and optimization of communications performance before major design and implementation investments are made.
